Unlabeled cards on a clean workspace representing temporary browser-only state

Launch summary

This TuneReveal.com cookie policy explains a simple choice: the current site intentionally sets no cookies. It also does not store tool values in localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB, or another persistent browser database. The effective date is August 29, 2026.

You can open a calculator, enter values, read a result, and reset it without accepting a cookie banner because there is no site cookie to accept. If the host or a future feature changes that behavior, this page and any required privacy or consent choice will be updated before the change is made available.

A cookie is a small value that a website asks a browser to associate with a domain and send with later requests under defined conditions. Cookies can support sign-in, preferences, security, analytics, advertising, or other functions. Some expire when a browsing session ends; others remain until a date or deletion.

TuneReveal.com has no account, saved preference, shopping cart, advertising profile, or analytics vendor. The launch tools therefore have no functional need for a cookie.

When you enter 440 Hz into the frequency converter, the page’s JavaScript temporarily holds that number so it can calculate a result. When you type a note in the song workbench, the active interface must remember it long enough to show the card. This is ephemeral in-memory state.

The application does not serialize that state into a cookie or persistent store. Resetting the tool removes it from the interface. Refreshing, closing, or leaving may also clear it. The operator cannot read or restore it because it is never transmitted.

This design means the tools cannot remember where you left off. It is your responsibility to copy a result you want to retain.

Browser cache and history are different

A browser may cache public files such as an image, stylesheet, script, or HTML response so pages load efficiently. It may also keep a history entry showing that you visited a route. Those browser features are not a TuneReveal.com cookie and do not contain a server-side copy of your workbench fields under the current design.

Your device settings, extensions, password managers, security products, network administrator, or screenshot tools may keep other records. TuneReveal.com does not control those systems. Private browsing can reduce some local history but is not a promise of anonymity.

No analytics or advertising tags

The launch site does not install Google Analytics, a marketing pixel, a heatmap recorder, an ad network, or a behavioral session-replay service. It does not create an identifier to follow you across pages or other sites. Tool values are forbidden from analytics event payloads even if analytics were considered later.

Static hosting still requires network requests. The Vercel hosting platform processes technical request information to deliver and protect the site as described in the privacy policy. Infrastructure delivery is not permission to add a visitor profile or persist calculator inputs.

Worked example: closing a workbench

You enter a passage label, 112 BPM, F major, 3/4, and medium confidence. The browser shows approximately 535.71 milliseconds per beat and about 1.61 seconds per three-beat bar. You navigate to the key-signature guide.

Under this policy, TuneReveal.com did not set a cookie containing the label or values. It did not save the card to persistent browser storage. Returning with the back button may sometimes reconstruct a page from the browser’s own short-lived navigation cache, depending on browser behavior, but the application must not treat that as saved data. Use Reset and close the tab if you want to clear the visible state, and manage browser history through your own settings when needed.

Why avoid persistent preferences at launch

A dark-mode preference or recently used key could be convenient, but even harmless storage deserves explanation and testing. Starting without it keeps the privacy promise easy to understand, avoids stale analysis notes, and prevents a background preference from quietly becoming a data-retention system.

If a future preference is offered, its notice will identify the value, purpose, duration, first or third party, any consent choice, and how the value can be removed. Listening notes will not be stored merely for convenience without a clear, optional action from the visitor.

How to check the behavior

You can check the current behavior in browser developer tools by inspecting:

  • response headers for Set-Cookie;
  • browser developer tools under Cookies, Local Storage, Session Storage, and IndexedDB;
  • network requests for unapproved third-party hosts;
  • script bundles for analytics or session-replay code;
  • tool behavior after refresh, reset, and navigation;
  • consent UI, which should not appear when no consent-requiring storage exists.

The expected result is no site-set cookie, no persistent tool value, and no unlisted analytics or session-replay request. If you observe otherwise, send the route, browser, and a description to support@tunereveal.com.

Limitations

This policy describes technology intentionally used by TuneReveal.com, not every trace that internet use can leave. DNS resolvers, internet providers, browsers, operating systems, hosting infrastructure, and email services have their own processing. Blocking all cookies in a browser does not prevent ordinary network delivery, and clearing cookies does not necessarily clear cache or history.

The policy is not a general tutorial on privacy law. Requirements and individual rights vary by location, purpose, and the technology actually in use.

Frequently asked questions

Because the launch application sets no cookies and installs no analytics or advertising tags that require a preference choice.

Does the tool use sessionStorage?

No. State exists only in active page memory under the current service design.

Can a browser extension see the page?

Extensions may have permissions outside the site’s control. Review installed extensions and device settings if local confidentiality matters.

What happens if cookies are added later?

This policy and its effective date will be updated before cookies are used, together with any consent choice required for that use.

Questions

For a cookie or storage concern, contact support@tunereveal.com with the affected route and what you observed. Do not include private listening notes.
